Smart School Council-Children as leaders
At Manford we believe that every child has a right to be heard, therefore we have adopted a new and innovative way to approach our school council which ensures every child has a voice.
Class council meetings happen every 2 weeks in classes and involves pupils debating in groups about a topical question that has been posed to the whole school. Children unanimously choose an option to answer the question, the winning choice across the school is then actioned in order to improve life at the school or work together on a particular project.
Unfortunately due to COVID we are unable to run a communication team due to pupils not being able to cross bubbles, although action teams will begin soon and consist of pupils from individual year groups.
